Gavin initially qualified with a BSc in computer science,
and a diploma in datametrics. Gavin spent a number of years developing systems
for various organizations - predominantly in the Financial Services industry.
Gavin then completed an "in-house" MBA program, and began an
increased involvement in the business, specifically in Life Insurance. Having
been through two mergers, and three systems conversions, Gavin has significant
experience in integrating business and systems processes in order to achieve
increased business impact, and doing so quickly!
Gavin has recently been working in business process re-engineering with a view
to increased bottom line results. His unique combination of business and
technical skills has delivered quality work.
Neil is well known in various sectors of the Cape community.
Neil has worked on many systems ranging across vendors and across applications, in
different capacities.
Of particularly topical interest is the work that Neil has done on applications that are
deployed over the internet to various oranisations. Although Neil has spent most of his
career in the Finacial Services sector, he is equally at home with HR systems, and has
recenty given tremendous advantage to a distribution concern that is moving into the
international arena.
Tom qualified as a teacher, and has gone on to learn
abundantly. Tom has been in a variety of industries, from transport to banking,
and met Gavin in the Life Insurance industry.
Tom is a well rounded HR generalist, and can build or advise on aspects from HR
governance to almost all individual HR programs. Tom has just completed
building an HR capability for a niche bank. An area that has been particularly
sought after is Tom's knowledge of the legislative requirements that are
impacting many organizations.
Brett is a CA, and adds an intimate knowledge of the
shipping industry to the group. The financial disciplines and an International
background enhance the offering.
In recent years Brett has had significant experience of working with government
and near government organizations at all levels.
Art is a clinical psychologist who has been working in the
area of transformation for about ten years. As an early worker in this critical
field for South Africa, Art has built up skills and contacts that are
"top-drawer".
In addition, Art brings a number of unique products that are designed to help
organizations work from the inside out in developing the human potential of any
group.
Ralph knows the art of brand building and franchising from the ground up. With the growing difficulty in market penetration, Ralph brings his international experience gained in the oil business.
Internationally renown John is the most enthusiastic
educationalist you could ever find. John obtained his doctorate in the US, and
has become sought after having worked extensively through Europe and further a
field.
With a passion for increasing retention in learning, John is an expert in
co-operative learning. Many organizations have used John to increase their
ability to build up the skill base in the organization.
Kerry started as a teacher, and after getting his honours in
mathematics, went on to complete a Masters in environmental science. Kerry
has used these skills in his work on expert systems solutions. Kerry is able
to make the specialist knowledge of an organizations rarest talents accessible
across a broad base.
Kerry is still active in the environmental field doing a variety of impact assessments.
Lynne comes from a financial services background, with a particularly strong service orientation. She has built and run call centres for the leading institutions in South Africa.
Garth obtained his BSc Hons in Pure Maths (Wits 1983), followed by a Diploma in Actuarial Science (UCT 1991), on his way to completing his actuarial qualifications (Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries 1992). Garth has a broad base of experience, he started his career in a Life company, where he spent time as part of the actuarial team, followed by a period in IT.
Garth then moved into reinsurance. Initially in the South African office, followed by two years in the London office of a major reinsurer. During this period Garth added responsibility for administrative units to his valuation, product, reinsurance and IT experience. Garth has a particular emphasis on business analysis, data modeling and creating and using actuarial modeling tools.
Garth says of himself: "I am a bit of a renegade, I like thinking 'out of the box', and I get bored easily"
David has a technical background in product internals and processes, specifically in the Life Insurance industry.
Sally is the accountant and administration manager.
